Birthday at 99 Regent Street

Formerly Cuckoo Club

The Two-Floor Birthday by Piccadilly Circus

99 Regent Street (formerly Cuckoo Club) is the two-floor club at the Piccadilly Circus end of Regent Street, with its entrance on Swallow Street. Upstairs is the main room, where most of the tables sit and the music is open-format hip-hop and RnB; downstairs is darker and more dance-focused, with house. Dark panelling, warm low lighting, banquette seating and a long bar frame a birthday table, and on Friday and Saturday, when both floors run, the staircase between them lets a mixed group switch sounds without leaving the building. Tables start from £600 minimum spend, spent on drinks and covering entry for the whole group. Entry is 19+ with physical photo ID, so it suits a 21st or later rather than an 18th.

The Night

What to Expect on Your Birthday Night

The entrance is on Swallow Street, the door the Cuckoo Club used, two minutes from Piccadilly Circus, and a staircase links the two floors inside. Upstairs is the main room, where most of the tables sit and the music is open-format hip-hop and RnB. Downstairs is darker and more dance-focused, with house for the part of your group that wants the dance floor. Friday and Saturday run both floors; on Wednesday and Thursday one floor opens, so a midweek birthday is a one-room night. Doors are 11pm to 4am on every opening night, and every guest needs physical photo ID showing they are 19 or over.

Birthday Extras & Packages

Birthday extras at 99 Regent Street are arranged on request: tell us when you book if you want sparklers with the bottles or a cake brought to the table, and we will confirm what the venue can do on your night. The table minimum is spent on drinks, not charged on top, and it covers entry for everyone in the group. VIP and larger tables are quoted on request.

The Vibe

The Atmosphere

Dark panelling, warm low lighting, banquette seating and a long bar. Membership exists at the venue, though its details are not published, and we book tables and guestlist for non-members. The dress code is elegant and enforced, and the 19+ door is a year older than most London clubs. Upstairs is the social floor, built around the tables; downstairs is darker and more dance-focused.

Your Group

Group Size Guide

The £600 starting minimum is the lowest of the clubs on this site: it is spent on drinks the group would order anyway, and it covers entry for everyone at the table. It rises with the night, the group size and the table's position, and VIP and larger tables are quoted on request. Friends who are not at the table can come on the guestlist, which is by request and open to mixed groups (it is not a ladies-only list), with entry free to about £50 depending on the night and arrival time; we confirm names and the night's terms before you go. For a bigger celebration, private hire is arranged through us, with capacities, minimums and terms on request.

Insider Tip

Check every guest is 19 or over before you book: the door asks for physical photo ID and is a year older than most London clubs, so one 18-year-old friend can hold up the whole group. If the group wants both sounds, book a Friday or Saturday, when both floors run; on Wednesday and Thursday one floor opens.
